Renovation underway!

The much anticipated work of Ta-Dzong Renovation project has taken off with effect from July 1st 2014 under the supervision of structural engineer of Division for Conservation of Heritage Sites. The renovation will not alter the original structure, except in a very rare cases, as in windows which will be replaced by original stone windows.

The preparation of structural drawings and documentation are being carried out by architect of Division for Conservation Of Heritage Sites, on which the Ta-Dzong Conservation Project Management is adhering to and which the drawing has been reviewed and approved by relevant authorities in consultation with the museum management.

It is expected to be completed by December 2016 coinciding with the golden jubilee.
