Visitor numbers to Bhutan and to the Museum are increasing every year and we welcome your interest as well.

Photography and videography are not permitted inside the museum.Please place your cameras in the lockers located at the museum entrance. Photography is permitted outside the museum building and on the grounds.Visitors are also requested not to picnic inside the museum premises. Thank you for your cooperation.

Schools and VIP Groups

The National Museum is an educational institution whose staff enjoys sharing its collections with national and international students and researchers. We welcome students, student groups and others who may have a specific interest in Bhutanese history and culture. Guided tours may be arranged in advance upon request.
